Many of you may not be able to identify the lost of quality that L.B. Evans has thrust upon the market in their effort to maximize their profits by sucking the quality from what were about the best made highest quality slippers on the market.

My last pair were in pretty much original condition except for the insoles which had finally worn through in the heel area after 22 years of service.

I have had their replacements now for just shy of a month and they’re falling apart. The “”deerskin”" on the welting in the area where the top of the slipper flex’s is so thin that it has split apart and is de-laminating from whatever the welting is made from. It’s also de-laminating in areas that don’t appear to be flex points. It’s as if they didn’t use any adhesive when putting the pieces together.

The new soles seem to be of a much softer material and are already as worn as my old pair from walking on the concrete walk and driveway to get the paper and the new pair is at least a full size larger than what is marked in the slipper..

I heard once that there is nothing that man won’t cheapen and sell for less. I guess this is most true here since my old slippers didn’t cost much more than these new ones over twenty years ago.

My philosophy has always been to buy the best when you can since you won’t have to replace it often. This certainly is not the case here anymore.

If you want a quality made pair of slippers, there are not the ones you’re looking for!

This brand and style of Men’s Slipper (or house shoe) I have been wearing for over 20 years – I am not to sure if the brand has always been Evans but the Style (deerskin) and color I have purchased is. I was able to buy my recent pair from Amazon for $20 less than advertized elsewhere. As far as comfort, there are not many slippers that can match it, also the style makes is easy to where during quick trips to the store without having to change shoes and also using for long trip driving anywhere. They are just that comfortable. A few things to watch out for in the care of these slippers is that the soft deerskin is easily stained if worn outside and also the front Top to Side Edge Seams connecting the front foot deekskin covering and the sides is easily scrapped off as this is a thin plastic coating (the only thing I dislike about the way these Slippers are made..) Also, do not use any kind of Shoe Cleaner or polish as this will stain the deerskin dark. Other wise they are very durable of cared for properly – Also remember that all slippers stretch after using a short while, so it is best to buy a size smaller and break them in like a good pair of Jeans or boots.

I’m having a hard time finding good slippers, I was sure this was the last pair I’d have to buy. It doesn’t look that way… but that’s not primarily the product’s fault.

Well the only grievance I have that’s not personal is the sole of the shoe. While it does have the hard sole bottom, it really doesn’t feel as sturdy as a cheap 7 dollar pair I got at Target. I was expecting a bit more padding with the thicker bottoms but it’s not the case. The rest of the shoe feels higher quality than the sole. The insides, like the picture show, are very insulated. Unfortunately it’s a bit warmer than I expected.

The sizes seem to run big. I tried to accommodate for that by getting a 7 instead of 8. While I’m glad I did, unfortunately it looks like they only run a half size bigger, yet don’t carry half sizes. My previous pair of cheap men’s slippers (because most female slippers need to have bows, bunnies or colored in pastel) were perfect except for being too big, so this time around I’ll stick with the smaller pair and hope I can stretch it out a bit over the next few years *sigh*.

I’m still giving this thing a 3 star review even tho it didn’t work out for me. It’s fairly expensive for having size issues and I question the longevity of the sole lasting. But since most of my issues with them are personal, I can’t say the product failed, I just wouldn’t recommend them to any of my friends. The search for the perfect pair of slippers continues…

I got these for my 17 year old daughter for her birthday. She absolutely loves them. They are warm, but not overly so and they are so comfortable. Even though I think they look like slippers, she wears them to school. Her older sister has a pair just like these and she wears them everywhere also.

These are really cute and very comfortable. The fur inside is non-sweat inducing yet so soft on the foot you’ll never want to take them off. These come in whole sizes only, and only in medium width, and I have a half size foot with a wide width, but they stretched, and within a couple of weeks they fit perfectly. I normally wear an 8.5 wide, and I bought the 8 medium. Perfect fit after two weeks of wearing them around the house. There’s an extra benefit to having the tie on the front of the shoe. If you find the shoe is a bit tight around the toes, you can loosen the bow until the fit is perfect. The bottom of the slippers is good for quickly running outside to the mailbox. Overall another great purchase from Amazon!

And this one falls into the latter for me. I love my boots so I was looking forward to feeling that cozy softness on my feet at home with these slippers. Unfortunately, the portion covering your feet are too low that it’s not a good fit. I also ordered them 1 size down (as I did with the boots) and it was not a good fit.

the slippers are made well. The materials are of a good quality. It is all about the fit! Order them at least 2 sizes smaller than you wear. I wear a size 9. but ordered and 8 after reading the reviews. After a few hours, I noticed I was shuffling and dragging my feet to keep them on. I would buy them again, but in a seven.
